Advisory

Goals
Explore the purpose of and activities associated with advisory.

Using AMLE resources, examine what advisory is and how to implement it. As you read the information that could help you, jot down things to consider in a journal format. Once you have an idea of what you want to do, consider talking to your students, your principal, and your school counselor about an advisory program.
Plan a series of Advisory Activities for your team of students. From the first goal, you will have lots of ideas and will have tried some activities. With your team, consider making a calendar of activities to try during the second semester. Evaluate the success of each of the activities. Write the responses in a journal.
At the end of the school year plan on sharing your findings at your local affiliate conference or AMLE the following year.
